An MoU for joint cooperation, valued at 292,399 US dollars, was signed between ANDMA and the Aga Khan Development Network

Today, on Tuesday, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met at his office with Rahatullah Baig, the Executive Director of the Aga Khan Development Network; Ismatullah Ismat, Legal Officer; and Shakrullah Madani, Relations Officer.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Aga Khan Development Network and expressed his pleasure at signing a memorandum today that will provide assistance to our affected population. He also thanked the entire working team of the network for their consistent cooperation with our oppressed people.
In addition, with the onset of winter, Alhaj Turabi Sahb urged all international and domestic institutions and organizations to distribute their aid to those who truly deserve it.
Rahatullah Baig, Executive Director of the Aga Khan Development Network, stated that the development network is a major project and institution, providing services to the people across various sectors.
Mr. Beig further noted his satisfaction that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority facilitates their work without any delays. He extended special thanks to the Head of the authority and its entire working team. Additionally, he emphasized that various institutions and organizations should collaborate with this authority to provide assistance for natural and non-natural disasters, ensuring that the Afghan people benefit from these aids in a timely manner.
It is noteworthy that a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation, valued at 292,399 dollars, was signed between the two parties. Under this agreement, 4,684 affected families in the districts of Ishkashim, Warduj, Zebak, Arghanj Khwah, Wakhan, Shighnan, Shiki, Nesay, Kuf Ab, Maymayi, Khwahan, Jorm, Yamgan, Kuran and Monjan in Badakhshan Province will receive 3,944.2 metric tons of food items over a three-month period. Each family will be provided with 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of oil, 0.50 kg of salt, and 6.25 kg of lentils.
