The head of ANDMA had a catch up with the UN-HABITAT Agency’s visiting delegation
Today, on Wednesday, the head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Aurhority, Mullah Noor Ud din Turabi met the United Nations HABITAT Agency’s delegation, led by Abdul Din Rasikh, the head of the agency's settlement program, Masood Hamza, the program's engineer and Muhammad Yousuf Rahmati, the project's engineer, in his office.
Turabi Sahb welcomed the visiting delegation from UN-HABITAT and expressed his gratitude towards them for their support of the flood-affected people in the country.
He also emphasized the need for institutions to provide essential services to people in provinces and districts to ensure that people can benefit from them. Mr. Rasikh mentioned that they are conducting surveys in three districts of Kabul and one district of Nangarhar, and based on the results, they will be providing 322 homes in three districts of Kabul and 323 homes in Nangarhar with a total of 645 homes, $550 to each home, $300 in the first installment and $250 in the second installment, starting from the first of November in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority.
