The National Disaster Management Authority and the Islamic Hosseini Institute signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation
Today, Saturday, the head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Noor ud din Turabi, met with the founder of the Islamic Hosseini Institute, Muhammad Zulqarnain Abbas, and his accompanying delegation.
Turabi Sahb welcomed the visiting delegation and emphasized that many families in various provinces are in need of assistance and require support from all institutions and organizations to address their needs.
He also thanked the visiting delegation for their previous assistance to affected families and encouraged them to continue their support to the Afghan people, especially during natural and unnatural disasters.
The founder of the Islamic Hosseini Institute, Muhammad Zulqarnain Abbas, expressed gratitude to the head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for facilitating their work and appreciated the authority's efforts in providing timely assistance.
Additionally, he also mentioned that the institute provides various forms of support to people, including cash, food and non-food items, and has been actively assisting flood-affected and disaster-affected communities.
More over, it is worth noting that the institute has provided cash assistance worth $118,205 to 540 families affected by floods in Takhar province's Taloqan, Kalfgan and Rustaq districts, with each family receiving $165.50, equivalent to 11,300 Afghanis, after a survey.
