The Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority had a meeting with the Acting Head of the World Food Programme (WFP) and Her Delegation

Today, on Monday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Ms. Mutinta Chimuka, the Acting Head of the World Food Programme (WFP), Ms. Anu Sara, Head of Food Systems, Abdul Raziq Ayoubi, Head of Communications and Emergency Aid and Noor Ahmad Firoozi, an expert in emergency assistance, at his office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Turabi Sahb welcomed the WFP delegation and emphasized that this organization has always provided humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, for which they are grateful. He stated that they continuously strive to facilitate operations for various organizations and institutions across all sectors.
Haji Turabi Sahb added that they have developed a disaster risk database within the authority, identifying and recording all areas at risk. He stressed the need for the construction of retaining walls and the implementation of various preventive projects.
Following this, Ms. Mutinta Chimuka, the Acting Head of WFP, expressed her appreciation for the authority’s leadership and stated that WFP has always worked to deliver better services to the people.
Ms. Chimuka also emphasized that both parties will collaborate closely to ensure better service delivery and the timely distribution of aid to affected families.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that technical teams from both organizations would hold a session in the coming days to discuss technical matters.
