ANDMA and the World Food Programme (WFP) had a Technical Meeting for Join Cooperation

Today in morning, the third technical meeting regarding joint cooperation between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the World Food Programme (WFP) took place. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Mulla Mohammad Jawed Abbas, Head of Planning and Policy; Burhanuddin Khan, Acting Head of the International Relations Department; Abdul Rab Mubarak, Director of Coordination and Liaison at the Authority’s Office; Mohammad Yusuf Hamad, Head of Media and Public Relations; Adila Khalid, Programme Officer; Owen Shiwart, WFP Communications Officer; Munsefullah Anwari, WFP Emergency Affairs Officer; Mutaz, WFP GIS Officer and several other officials of the authority.
During the meeting, representatives of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority discussed the strategic plan, activities, and other technical matters, emphasizing the need for greater coordination and collaboration in implementing programs.
Likewise, representatives of the World Food Programme reaffirmed their organization’s commitment to working together to accelerate assistance to affected families and provide improved services. They pledged to engage with other institutions and donors to secure equipment and conduct training programs.
As the meeting progressed, Mutaz, the WFP GIS Officer, delivered a presentation on the organization’s new assistance program.
In conclusion, both parties underscored the importance of strengthening joint cooperation, enhancing coordination in carrying out activities and exchanging information related to natural disasters and operational areas.
