Two Memorandums of Understanding were signed today between the National Disaster Management Authority and the Danish Refugee Council.

These agreements were signed by the National Disaster Management Authority head, Alhaj Mula Noor ud din Turabi, and the Danish Refugee Council's country director, Ms. Daniya Al-Sharif.
The head of the National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mola Noor ud din Turabi, welcomed the Danish Refugee Council and emphasized that all organizations and government  agencies should work together to combat natural and unnatural disasters and provide timely assistance.
The head of the Danish Refugee Council, Daniya Al-Sharif, said that for about 25 years, the organization has been active in Afghanistan, providing assistance to refugee, war victims, mine clearance and emergency natural and unnatural disasters.
Al-Sharif expressed her satisfaction with the National Disaster Management Authority's work and emphasized the importance of providing aid to those in need.
The purpose of the memorandums were to provide cooperation in disaster management and humanitarian assistance. The agreements include two separate memoranda, the first of which includes a $14,930,15 project to clear explosives from 700 Educational Institutes and Hospitals and install solar panels in 12 provinces across Afghanistan which include Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Bamyan, Kandahar, Zabul, Hilmand, Nimroz, Farah, Badghes, Laghman and Kunar.
Additionally, the second memorandum includes an $18,444,14 project to promote humanitarian resilience and mine clearance in 14 provinces across Afghanistan which include Kabul, Parwan, Logar, Maidan Wardag, Ghazni, Kandahar, Zabul, Hilmand, Hirat, Farah, Badghes, Nangarhar, Kunar, and Nooristan.
Lastly, Turabi Sahb emphasized the importance of cooperation between humanitarian organizations in providing aid to those affected by natural and unnatural disasters.
