A Memorandum of Understanding was Signed Between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the MDC Mine Clearance Institute for Providing Health Services to Disaster Victims and the Authority’s Employees

Today, after noon, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the acting head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Mr. Mohammad Shahab Hakimi, the head of the MDC Mine Clearance Institute and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During this meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb welcomed the delegation from the aforementioned institute and described the activities of the MDC Mine Clearance Institute as satisfactory. He emphasized the continuation of cooperation with them across various sectors, particularly in clearing areas contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnance throughout the country.
He also spoke about the MoU in question, calling it a commendable step and stated that efforts would be made to provide medical assistance to the institute’s health center through various means.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammad Shahab Hakimi, the head of the MDC Mine Clearance Institute, expressed his gratitude to the acting head of the authority for facilitating the work of institutions and likewise stressed the importance of ongoing cooperation.
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of this meeting, a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation was signed between the two institutions. According to this agreement, the MDC Mine Clearance Institute will provide free health services in the following areas:
- General internal medicine
- Obstetrics
- Ear, nose and throat (ENT)
- Dentistry
- Orthopedics
- X-ray services
- Laboratory services
- Psychotherapy
- Physiotherapy
- Emergency services
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Ultrasound
These services will be offered to the employees of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and their family members, as well as to victims of mines and unexploded ordnance and disaster-affected individuals referred by the authority.
