A Memorandum of Understanding Worth $237,000 was Signed between ANDMA and the CRS Organisation

Today in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the President of the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Margaret Woods and her accompanying delegation at his office, where they signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb emphasized that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority consistently collaborates with supporting organizations because their activities contribute to disaster management and the welfare of the country’s citizens.
On the other hand, Margaret Woods, President of Catholic Relief Services (CRS), expressed gratitude to the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and highlighted that CRS has been carrying out significant activities since 2002 in the areas of emergency aid, water supply network development, and agriculture.
Ms. Woods provided details about her new project, stating that it is funded by UN-OCHA and will be implemented through CRS with a total budget of $237,000, targeting the needy population in Herat Province.
Under this memorandum of understanding, valued at $237,000, assistance will be distributed to 545 families in the Gulran district of Herat Province. Each family will receive $74 for purchasing winter clothing, $200 for fuel supplies, and five blankets (one double and four single) valued at $57.
