The Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority had a Meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Afghanistan

Today, in afternoon, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Mr. Takayoshi Kuromiya, the Japanese Ambassador to Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation at his office.
The Japanese Ambassador, Mr. Takayoshi Kuromiya, expressed his sorrow over the recent earthquakes in the country and described Japan as one of Afghanistan’s close friends. While recalling the assistance provided, he emphasized that Japan’s support to Afghanistan will continue to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador also expressed gratitude for the consistent cooperation of the Authority with various institutions and for delivering aid to affected families transparently. He pledged that additional assistance would be provided to the earthquake-affected families in Kunar Province.
His Excellency Alhaj Turabi Sahb welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for Japan’s aid to the earthquake victims in Kunar. He discussed the achievements and challenges faced by Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority. He noted that a large number of people in Afghanistan are grappling with poverty and hardship, underscoring the urgent need for humanitarian assistance. He emphasized that aid should be purely humanitarian and free from political motives.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb further stated that Japan has always provided valuable cooperation in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and we are grateful for this support. He called for the continuation and expansion of future cooperation and assistance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation.
