Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority Held an Online Meeting with the Provincial Officials to Address Challenges

Today in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, conducted an online meeting with the heads and financial managers of the disaster management directorates from all 34 provinces. The meeting, facilitated by modern technology, aimed to promptly address their challenges and issues.
At the outset of the online meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb stated that during his recent visits to several provinces in the south of the country, it became evident that colleagues in provincial finance offices were facing difficulties in completing the stages of financial documentation. He emphasized that this meeting was organized to resolve these challenges and other related issues.
Subsequently, provincial officials took turns discussing their problems, including issues with financial documentation, delays in processing staff travel allowances, repairs of transport vehicles, provision of work equipment for employees, and other critical matters. They requested the authority’s leadership to address these challenges and, in return, pledged to rectify shortcomings at the provincial level.
The Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority listened carefully to all the issues raised by the provincial officials. He provided immediate guidance to resolve some of the concerns and assured them that other issues would be addressed promptly.
In conclusion, Alhaj Turabi Sahb stressed that the authority’s employees must respond swiftly to assist those affected in the event of a disaster. He added that through coordination with the esteemed Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, efforts would be made to resolve the challenges faced by provincial offices, particularly those related to financial departments.
