A Technical Meeting was held between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and World Food Programme to Facilitate Emergency Operations

Today on Tuesday, a technical meeting was convened with representatives from Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the World Food Programme (WFP) to review a roadmap for joint cooperation in emergency situations.
The meeting was attended by Qari Nooruddin Rustamkhil, Director of Mine Clearance Coordination, Molvi Mohammad Abid Noomani, Director of Human Resources, Hafiz Mohammad Yousuf Hamad, Director of Information and Publications, Burhanuddin Khan, Head of International Relations from ANDMA, along with Anne Shubert, Communications Officer, Paul Aylor, Emergency Operations Officer, and Hamidullah Afghan, Communications Manager from WFP, as well as several other officials from both entities.
The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss a roadmap to streamline and expedite emergency operations, enhance inter-agency coordination, establish mutual commitments, define geographic targeting, facilitate information exchange, and expand sustainable cooperation.
ANDMA representatives provided insights into their activities and existing challenges, emphasizing the need for close collaboration and coordination with international partners.
In response, WFP officials reaffirmed their organization’s commitment to effective cooperation in delivering humanitarian services and accelerating aid delivery to families affected by natural disasters.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties underscored their dedication to continuing joint efforts, improving coordination in program implementation, and ensuring effective information exchange.
