A Memorandum of Understanding worth $698,547 was signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the Norwegian Committee for Afghanistan

Today, Monday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the deputy and Acting Head of the Norwegian Committee, Ehsan Faqiri, along with the Humanitarian Aid Officer Zabihullah Rahmati, Public Relations Officer Mujibullah Shirzai, and Public Relations Deputy Hamid Ahmadi, in his office.
At the outset, the Acting Head of ANDMA, Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, expressed his happiness, and emphasized that organizations must expedite their work, particularly in providing winter aid, to ensure timely assistance to the people.
Turabi Sahb added that efforts are being made to complete the work of organizations as quickly as possible so that the Afghan people can benefit from their cooperation. He assured that the administration will fully cooperate with all organizations within the framework and principles of the Islamic Emirate.
The Acting Head of the Norwegian Committee, Ehsan Faqiri, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet and shared his happiness that no obstacles or delays have arisen in their work. He stated that the committee serves the Afghan people in various areas and is currently active in 12 provinces.
It is worth mentioning that, as part of the $698,547 project, 1,630 eligible families in Parwan, Panjsher, and Badakhshan provinces will be surveyed, and subsequently, based on the project's criteria, cash assistance and blankets will be distributed to deserving families. Details of the families which will be benefited in the mentioned provinces are as following:

1.  Badakhshan Province (Fayzabad City):
In this program, 758 eligible families will receive an amount of $74 for purchasing winter clothing. The Afghan currency equivalent of $200 for purchasing winter fuel.
Four single-person blankets and one double-person blanket per family.
2.  Parwan Province (Shinwari District):
In this program, 204 eligible families will receive a total of $74 for purchasing winter clothing.
The Afghan currency equivalent of $200 for purchasing winter fuel.
Four single-person blankets and one double-person blanket per family.
3.  Panjsher Province (Darra District):
In this program, 668 eligible families will receive the Afghan currency equivalent of $74 for purchasing winter clothing. The Afghan currency equivalent of $200 for purchasing winter fuel.
Four single-person blankets and one double-person blanket per family.
