A Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Cooperation was signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the Islamic Welfare Organization
Today morning, on Sunday, honourable Haji Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with the President of the Islamic Welfare Organization, Muhammad Zulqarnain Abbas, and his accompanying delegation in his office and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Turabi Sahb praised the activities of the Islamic Welfare Organization, describing them as effective. He emphasized that through close and joint cooperation, they could provide better services to the people.
At the same time, Muhammad Zulqarnain Abbas, President of the Islamic Welfare Organization, expressed happiness over the cooperation with the Authority. He added that their previous project in Ghor province was successfully implemented. He provided details about the current project, explaining that it involves cash assistance for purchasing food items to support vulnerable individuals in Ghor province during the cold winter season.
It is worth noting that under this MoU, cash assistance worth a total of $118,808 will be distributed among 1,152 affected families in Dolina District of Ghor province to help them procure food for the winter. Each family will receive $82.7 or its equivalent in Afghanis.
This marks the fourth joint MoU signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the Islamic Welfare Organization.
