This morning, Thursday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met and held discussions with Mr. Mohammad Al-Alfati, President of China's ANDI Company, along with the company’s representatives, His Excellency Bilal and Sayed Nazim Khalwati, at his office.
During the meeting, representatives of ANDI Company introduced their company’s technical capabilities and expertise, particularly in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). They highlighted that their drones are capable of carrying loads of up to 500 kilograms or more. These drones can transport injured or affected individuals from hazardous areas to safe zones during emergencies.

The company representatives further stated that ANDI is ready to collaborate with Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in utilizing drones, technical equipment and satellite devices. These devices can provide communication and internet access within a one-kilometer radius, playing a critical and vital role in emergency situations. They also expressed their readiness to supply these technologies to the authority, with payment terms open for discussion and agreement.

In response, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi expressed gratitude for the cooperation and proposals from ANDI Company. He emphasized that the use of such equipment is crucial in emergency situations and can significantly contribute to reducing casualties, delivering essential supplies to affected areas and rescuing the injured.

Alh*aj Turabi Sahb noted that Afghanistan, due to its geographical location, is highly vulnerable to natural disasters, and its mountainous terrain often makes it challenging to deliver aid to affected populations. However, with the use of these technologies, the authority’s capacity to manage disasters can be significantly enhanced.

He further directed the formation of a technical committee comprising representatives from Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and ANDI Company to thoroughly assess the technical aspects and effectiveness of the equipment. Decisions will be made based on the results of these evaluations. Alhaj Turabi Sahb also stressed that, in line with its mission, the authority will soon make these services available to the public, enabling the use of drones to rescue individuals trapped during disasters and deliver essential supplies to them.
