Today, on Thursday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the acting head of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Naveed Ahmad Ahmad, head of the TSDO, and Ahmad Shah Pasoon, project manager, at his office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Turabi Sahb welcomed the TSDO delegation and emphasized the importance of complete transparency in their work to ensure that aid is delivered promptly to affected families. He also urged all organizations to continue their assistance as winter approaches.
During this meeting, an agreement worth $62,775 was signed. According to the agreement, in the provinces of Kabul, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Bamyan, Daikundi, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Maidan Wardak and Ghazni, as well as Lal wa Sar-e-Jangal districts of Ghor province, food supplies will be distributed to 3,107 families in the event of natural disasters, following approval by WFP where each family will receive:
200 kilograms of flour, 18.2 liters of oil, 25 kilograms of lentils, 2 kilograms of salt, 3 kilograms of LNS (nutritional supplements) and 6 kilograms of WSB (wheat-soy blend) for breastfeeding mothers.
