The fourth Technical meeting regarding Joint Cooperation between ANDMA and the World Food Programme (WFP) was held

Today, in morning, the fourth technical meeting on joint cooperation between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the World Food Programme (WFP) took place in the presence of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Hafiz Mohammad Yousuf Hammad, the Director of Planning and Policy, Mullah Mohammad Jawed Abbas, the Acting Director of International Relations, Burhanuddin Khan, the Director of Mine Action Coordination, Qari Nooruddin Rastamkhil, the WFP Communications Officer, Owen Shiwart, the Emergency Affairs Officer, Munsefullah Anwari and several other officials from the authority.
During the meeting, representatives of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority discussed the authority’s plans, operational programs during emergencies, coordination in the distribution of humanitarian aid, drought response, capacity building, preventive projects and other technical matters. They emphasized the need for greater cooperation and coordination in the implementation of these programs.
Subsequently, representatives of the World Food Programme reiterated their organization’s commitment to working jointly to accelerate assistance to affected families and provide better services. They pledged to cooperate in operational areas during emergencies, preventive projects and capacity-building efforts.
In conclusion, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation, enhancing coordination in carrying out activities and exchanging information regarding natural disasters and operational areas.
