ANDMA and CRS Sign an MoU worth $200,000 for Joint Cooperation

This morning, Sunday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the Head of the CRS Kabul Office, Ahmad Farid Samim, at his office and signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation.
Welcoming the CRS representative, Alhaj Turabi Sahb emphasized that many provinces have affected families in dire need of assistance. He urged all humanitarian organizations and institutions to collaborate to ensure aid reaches these families.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb also expressed gratitude to CRS for consistently providing various forms of assistance to affected families. He stressed the importance of humanitarian organizations continuing their support for the people of Afghanistan and accelerating the delivery of aid.
In response, Ahmad Farid Samim, Head of the CRS Kabul Office, extended special thanks to the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for the timely execution of institutional tasks and for streamlining operations. He pledged that aid would be distributed to affected families as soon as possible.
It is worth noting that under this agreement, a total of $200,000 in aid will be provided. Specifically, 1,600 families in the Ghorian district of Herat province, affected by drought, will each receive $70 in cash assistance. Additionally, 350 other families will each receive 105 kilograms of improved wheat seeds valued at $68.
