An MoU for Joint Cooperation Valued at 7,391 USD was Signed between ANDMA and the Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization

Today in afternoon, the General Director of Finance and Administration of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Hajji Molvi Mohammad Alam Alamyar, met with the Director of the Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization, Honorable Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Zaheer and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Honorable Haji Molvi Mohammad Alam Alamyar stated that Afghanistan is a shared home for all, and every Afghan should strive to assist their fellow citizens. He emphasized that the signing of this MoU is a significant step toward aiding the country's vulnerable population and the authority welcomes the implementation of such projects.
Similarly, the Director of the Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization, Honorable Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Zaheer, provided details about the project, noting that it is the first time their work with a government institution has progressed so efficiently. He expressed gratitude to the leadership and staff of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for their support.
In conclusion, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding for joint cooperation valued at a total of 7,391 USD. Under this agreement, the Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization, with the support of the World Food Programme, will distribute cash or food assistance to 169 families in the districts of Khost Province in the event of a disaster, following a needs assessment. In terms of cash assistance, each family will receive 2,900 Afghanis. For food assistance, each family will receive 50 kilograms of flour, 4.55 kilograms of oil, half a kilogram of salt, and 6.25 kilograms of pulses.
