ANDMA Initiates Distribution of Food and Non-Food Items to 1,269 Affected Families in Kabul’s Deh Sabz District

Today in morning, the esteemed Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, visited Deh Sabz District in Kabul Province and launched the distribution process of food and non-food items for 1,269 families affected by recent rains, hails and floods.
Expressing his deep sympathy for the affected families, His Excellency Turabi Sahb stated that efforts are underway to reduce the level of damage caused by disasters across the country through the implementation of preventive projects. To this end, preventive initiatives have either been completed or are currently underway in Deh Sabz District, as well as all other districts of Kabul and across the 34 provinces of the country. He further emphasized that this process will continue by leveraging the resources of IEA and its partner organizations.
The Director General also assured that such assistance programs will persist in the future. He added that if people face any challenges related to disaster response, they can reach out to the Kabul Provincial Disaster Management Directorate for support.
It is worth noting that the aid provided to each family included 50 kilograms of flour, 25 kilograms of rice, one blanket, four bars of soap and 30 water purification tablets.
On this occasion, the recipients of the aid expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the presence and compassion of His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi. They voiced their appreciation for the provision of this assistance and offered prayers for the well-being of the IEA’s authorities.
