The Director General of ANDMA Receives Cash Aid from Afghan Traders in Qatar for Kunar Earthquake Victims from the IEA's Ambassador for Qatar

Today in afternoon, the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, esteemed Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with esteemed Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Ambassador to Qatar, at his office. During the meeting, he received cash assistance provided by Afghan traders residing in Qatar for the victims of the earthquake in Kunar Province.
In this session, Alhaj Turabi Sahb expressed his gratitude to the Afghan traders and stated that the earthquake-affected people of Kunar Province still require assistance. He noted that necessary measures have been taken in this regard, and efforts are underway to provide further aid to the earthquake victims. He emphasized that these cash funds will be utilized in accordance with the needs of the affected individuals. Additionally, he called upon other traders and philanthropists to continue their cooperation and support for the needy population.
At the same time, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Ambassador to Qatar, the esteemed Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, commended the activities of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in reaching out to the victims, coordinating and engaging with national and international aid organizations, and enhancing the agency's capabilities. He described these efforts as effective and impactful. He further stated that he would personally strive to mobilize additional assistance for the earthquake victims.
It is worth mentioning that at the conclusion of the meeting, a cash donation of $26,300—collected by Afghan traders residing in Qatar to aid the recent earthquake victims in Kunar Province—was handed over to the Director General of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority by the country's ambassador.
