A cooperation agreement worth a total of $700,000 was signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the DRC organization

This morning, Sunday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, acting head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Hannah Rose Halvey, Program Manager of the DRC organization, along with her accompanying delegation, and signed a cooperation agreement between the two entities.
During the meeting, Turabi Sahb encouraged the delegation to implement the winter aid project promptly. He emphasized the urgency of delivering the aid to the people as winter has begun, ensuring they are protected from the cold and can make the most of the assistance.
In addition, Hannah Rose Halvey, program manager of the DRC organization, thanked the acting head of the authority for facilitating better opportunities for relief organizations. She also provided details about the current project under implementation by the organization.
According to the agreement, assistance will be provided to 1,198 families in the form of fuel, warm winter clothing, and five blankets per family, amounting to $331 per family. This program will cover 661 families in Nuristan, 341 families in Kunar, and 196 families in Nangarhar.
Additionally, for 112 families in Nangarhar whose homes have been damaged due to disasters, financial aid will be distributed as follows: $550 for each of 56 families whose homes were completely destroyed, and $330 for each of 56 families whose homes were partially damaged, to assist in their repair.
