Visit of the Acting Head of ANDMA to Balkh Province after traveling to Sari Pul Province

Today, On Thursday, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, continued his official tour to several provinces of the country to enhance the administrative affairs of the provincial directorates. He arrived in Balkh Province to inspect the Directorate of Disaster Management and closely evaluate its operational processes.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb held separate meetings with all staff members of the directorate, attentively listening to their challenges, suggestions and opinions, while encouraging them to deliver timely and effective services.
Additionally, Alhaj Turabi Sahb visited the storage facility of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in Balkh Province, providing necessary guidance to the relevant officials on the proper maintenance, organization, arrangement and timely distribution of food and non-food items to those in need, based on their requirements. He also conducted a thorough review of the delivery of legislative documents to provincial directorates, ensuring their comprehension, proper review by directors, accurate implementation and complete documentation in files.
Furthermore, Alhaj Turabi Sahb comprehensively assessed the effective use of publications and ongoing projects in the province.
It is noteworthy that some time ago, delegations from the central office were dispatched to all provinces for monitoring and evaluation purposes, identifying shortcomings in certain provinces. Consequently, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority issued a unified directive to all provinces, highlighting these deficiencies and ordering their resolution. During this visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb thoroughly reviewed the progress made in addressing these issues.
The objectives of this visit included gathering feedback, challenges and suggestions from provincial staff, improving office organization, fostering a disciplined work environment, ensuring full coordination with provincial authorities, organizing document archives, establishing standard storage facilities, addressing deficiencies, and implementing preventive projects.
During his visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb also met with the esteemed Molvi Noor-ul-Hadi Abu Idris, Deputy Governor of Balkh Province. The two sides discussed disaster management, timely assistance to affected individuals and the implementation of preventive projects to mitigate risks.
In conclusion, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority encouraged the staff of the Directorate of Disaster Management to treat clients respectfully, perform tasks promptly and without delay, use public resources appropriately and adhere to administrative principles. He urged them to serve the people diligently and utilize their professional expertise for the country’s progress. Additionally, he distributed financial assistance to the staff.
