An MoU was signed between ANDMA and the Afghan Youth Services Organization worth $433,567
Today, in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the Executive Director of the Afghan Youth Services Organization, Engineer Abdul Habib Tahreek at his office and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
At the start of the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb welcomed the delegation from the organization and emphasized that the authority’s stance regarding the activities of such institutions is to expedite their work so that assistance can reach the public as quickly as possible. He further stated that the authority’s teams, equipped with available resources, are ready to collaborate with organizations in various provinces during the survey and distribution processes.
On the same occasion, Engineer Abdul Habib Tahreek, the Executive Director of the organization, provided an overview of the organization’s activities, stating that they are currently implementing projects in 16 provinces, working in diverse sectors such as education, health, nutrition, and more. He expressed gratitude for the facilities provided by the authority’s leadership and noted that the organization has successfully collaborated with the authority’s teams in several provinces, implementing projects effectively.
In conclusion, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding valued at $433,567. Under this agreement, the Afghan Youth Services Organization will distribute aid to 1,015 deserving families in the Chapa Dara, Dangam, Dara-e-Pech, and Ghaziabad districts of Kunar Province in four phases. Each family will receive 50 kilograms of flour, 4 liters of cooking oil, 4 kilograms of lentils, and half a kilogram of salt. Additionally, 3,040 families whose agricultural lands were damaged by floods will receive improved seeds and a gardening toolkit (including a spade, pickaxe, and shovel).
