A Memorandum of Understanding Worth $129,019 was Signed Between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and Mission East

Today in morning, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Ms. Gunel Jafarova, Head of Mission East, at his office and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the Mission East delegation and stated that the authority signs MoUs with organizations promptly to ensure timely delivery of aid to affected communities. He further noted that officials in the provinces have provided significant facilities to organizations to deliver services to disaster-affected individuals and urged organizations to implement their projects quickly and transparently.
Meanwhile, Ms. Gunel Jafarova, Head of Mission East, provided details about their project and expressed gratitude and satisfaction for the efficiency of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in processing matters and for the opportunity to collaborate.
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding worth $129,019 was signed between the two parties. Under this agreement, cash assistance of $105 will be distributed to 150 affected families in the districts of Ishkamish, Bangi and Warsaj in Takhar Province, and to 150 affected families in the districts of Shuhada, Yaftal-e Bala, and Faizabad city in Badakhshan Province for purchasing food supplies.
Additionally, 97 families in Takhar Province and 96 families in Badakhshan Province will receive non-food item packages containing 16 items, valued at $150 per family.
Furthermore, in Takhar Province, 20 affected families, and in Badakhshan Province, another 20 affected families, will receive $500 in two installments for home repairs. Additionally, $10,000 has been allocated for activities such as road clearance during emergencies, cleaning of agricultural water canals, and other similar activities in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces.
