A Memorandum of Understanding was Signed Between ANDMA and Mission East for Cooperation Worth $686,734

Today, on Sunday afternoon, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Hajji Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with Mr. Sbratadi, the head of Mission East’s Afghanistan office, at his workplace and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb expressed appreciation for Mission East’s past activities and emphasized that the organization should gradually shift the nature of its humanitarian aid toward foundational and sustainable projects while continuing its relief efforts. Highlighting the scale of people’s needs, he stressed the need to expedite this process and called for transparency in its implementation.
Subsequently, Mr. Sbratadi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet and provided details about the project. He stated that under the framework of this initiative, cash assistance will be provided to vulnerable people in three districts of Takhar province for the construction and repair of homes.
In conclusion, both parties signed an MoU for joint cooperation valued at $686,734. The agreement aims to provide cash assistance for home repairs to 200 families and for home construction to 180 families in the Farkhar, Chal, and Ishkamish districts of Takhar province. Additionally, families whose homes have been partially damaged will each receive $50 to purchase construction materials.
