A Memorandum of Understanding was Signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the ActionAid Organisation Valued at $697,999

On Tuesday morning, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the ActionAid Organisation at the office of Alhaj Mohammad Alam Alamyar, the Director General of Finance and Administration and the Acting Head of the Authority, in the presence of Mr. Sree Kanta Misra, the Head of ActionAid.
At the start of the meeting, Alhaj Alamyar Sahb welcomed the ActionAid delegation, expressing gratitude for the organization’s continuous support and assistance to disaster-affected communities. He assured that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority is ready to cooperate in resolving any challenges faced during ActionAid’s activities. He also urged ActionAid’s leadership to continue their aid to the suffering people of Afghanistan.
Subsequently, the Head of ActionAid provided details about their new project and commended Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for its cooperation and efficiency in signing memoranda with partner organizations. He also expressed appreciation to the Authority’s leadership for facilitating the signing of this agreement.
It is noteworthy that, under this memorandum, in the first phase, 2,700 affected families in the districts of Sancharek, Sozma Qala, and Gosfandi in Sar-e-Pul Province will receive assistance. Specifically, 1,215 families in Sancharek, 837 families in Gosfandi and 648 families in Sozma Qala will each receive $150 or its equivalent in Afghanis.
In the second phase, an additional 872 families in these three districts will receive aid, with 392 families in Sancharek, 261 families in Gosfandi and 219 families in Sozma Qala each receiving $180 or its equivalent in Afghanis.
