A Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between ANDMA and the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) Valued at $700,000

On Sunday afternoon, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the Head of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), Mr. Mohammad Zulqarnain Abbas, at his office and signed a memorandum of joint cooperation.
At the outset, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi warmly welcomed the delegation from IRW and expressed gratitude for their assistance to affected families and migrants. He also requested the head of IRW to implement their project in full coordination with the authority’s officials, with transparency and efficiency.
In response, Mr. Abbas, the Head of IRW, expressed appreciation for the cooperation of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority’s leadership and emphasized that the implementation of their projects relies on the continued support and collaboration of the authority. He urged the authority to maintain its assistance and cooperation.
It is noteworthy that, at the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation valued at $700,000 was signed between the two parties. According to the agreement, in the Firozkoh district of Ghor province, 140 affected families, and in the Shahrak district, 90 affected families, will each receive a total of $1,852, disbursed in three phases, for the construction of housing. Additionally, 110 affected families in the Shahrak district will receive $550, also in three phases, for major home repairs. Furthermore, 55 affected families in the same district will be provided with $330, in three phases, for minor home repairs.
