A cooperation Memorandom of Understanding worth $1,224,242 was Signed between ANMDA and DRC Foundation

Today, on Monday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the delegation led by Dania Al-Sharif, the Head of the DRC Foundation at his office and signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation worth $1,224,242.
During this meeting, besides welcoming the delegation from the DRC Foundation, Alhaj Turabi Sahb clearly stated that they have provided the necessary facilities for the operations of such organizations, they carry out their work in a timely manner, and they also expect from them to execute their tasks swiftly and transparently.
The Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, referring to verses from the Quran, remarked that saving one life is equivalent to saving all of humanity. He urged the mine clearance organization to speed up their activities and to quickly clear areas contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnances to protect people from potential dangers.
Afterwards, Dania Al-Sharif, the head of the DRC Foundation, thanked the head of the authority for providing suitable conditions for their operations and provided information about the ongoing project of her organization. She explained that this project includes public awareness campaigns about the dangers of mines and unexploded ordnances, surveys and the decontamination of affected areas.
It is noteworthy that this organization will survey and clear 224,400 square meters of land contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnances at a cost of $1,224,242 (one million, two hundred twenty-four thousand, two hundred forty-two dollars). These activities will be conducted in the provinces of Kabul, Parwan, Logar, Maidan Wardak and Ghazni, benefiting 4,195 people directly and indirectly and providing public safety awareness to 12,960 individuals regarding the risks posed by mines and unexploded ordnances.
