ANDMA’s Acting Head Visits Kanduz Province After Reviewing Administrative Affairs in Baghlan Province

Today, on Friday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, arrived in Kanduz Province as part of his tour to several provinces to oversee the improvement of administrative affairs in the authority’s provincial directorates. During his visit, he inspected the Baghlan Provincial Directorate of Disaster Management and reviewed its operational processes.
Honorable Turabi Sahb met individually with each staff member of the directorate, listened to their challenges, suggestions and recommendations and encouraged them to provide timely and effective services.
Additionally, Honorable Turabi Sahb visited the warehouses of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority in Kanduz Province. He provided necessary guidance to the relevant officials on the proper storage, organization and arrangement of food and non-food items, maintaining order, and distributing essential supplies to those in need as required. He also ensured oversight of the delivery of all legislative documents to the provincial directorates, ensuring their proper understanding, review by the relevant directors, implementation and the archiving of all documents in files.
Furthermore, Honorable Turabi Sahb thoroughly reviewed the proper utilization of all published materials and the ongoing projects in the province.
It is worth mentioning that some time ago, delegations were sent from the central office to various provinces to monitor and evaluate operational processes. These delegations identified certain shortcomings in the provinces, which were communicated to all provincial directorates through a unified letter from the acting head of the authority. Instructions were issued to address these deficiencies and now, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority has conducted a comprehensive review of the service delivery processes in Baghlan Province to ensure these shortcomings are addressed.
The purpose of the Acting Head’s visit is to gather the opinions, challenges and suggestions of provincial staff, organize offices, create a disciplined work environment, establish full coordination with provincial authorities, improve the archiving of documents, establish standardized warehouses, address deficiencies and implement preventive projects.
In conclusion, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority encouraged the staff of the Baghlan Provincial Directorate of Disaster Management to treat clients with kindness, perform their duties promptly without delays, use public resources appropriately, adhere to administrative principles, and serve the people while utilizing their professional expertise for the country’s progress. Additionally, he distributed cash assistance to the staff.
