ANDMA’s Acting Head Visits Herat Province After Reviewing Administrative Affairs in Farah Province

Today, on Monday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, arrived in Herat Province as part of his ongoing tour to several provinces aimed at improving the administrative operations of ANDMA’s provincial directorates. During his visit, he inspected the Herat Provincial Directorate for Disaster Management and monitored its operational processes.
His Excellency Alhaj Turabi Sahb met individually with each employee of the directorate, listening to their challenges, suggestions and recommendations. He encouraged all staff to provide timely and effective services to the public.
Additionally, Alhaj Turabi Sahb visited ANDMA’s warehouse in Herat Province, issuing necessary instructions to relevant officials regarding the proper storage, organization, and distribution of food and non-food items to those in need. He also reviewed the delivery of all legislative documents to provincial directorates, ensuring their proper understanding, review by relevant directors, implementation and archiving.
Furthermore, Alhaj Turabi Sahb thoroughly monitored the effective use of all published materials and the progress of ongoing projects in the province.
It is worth mentioning that some time ago, delegations from ANDMA headquarters were sent to various provinces to evaluate and monitor their operational processes. These delegations identified certain shortcomings in some provinces, which were communicated to all provincial directorates through a unified letter from ANDMA’s Acting Head. Instructions were provided to address these deficiencies and during this visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb conducted a comprehensive review of the service delivery processes in Herat to ensure these gaps were addressed.
The purpose of the Acting Head’s visit was to gather feedback, challenges and suggestions from provincial staff, streamline office operations, create an organized work environment, foster full coordination with provincial authorities, improve document archiving, establish standardized warehouses, address deficiencies and implement preventive projects.
During his visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb also met with the Governor of Herat Province, His Excellency Sheikh Molvi Noor Ahmad Islam Jar. The two discussed disaster management strategies, timely assistance to affected communities and the implementation of preventive projects to mitigate risks.
In conclusion, ANDMA’s Acting Head encouraged the staff of the Herat Provincial Directorate for Disaster Management to maintain positive interactions with clients, perform their duties promptly and without delay, utilize public resources responsibly, adhere to administrative principles and serve the public diligently. He urged them to leverage their professional expertise for the country’s progress and distributed cash assistance to the employees.
