The Acting Head of ANDMA had a Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federatio

Today in morning, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met and held discussions with His Excellency Dmitry Zhirnov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation and his accompanying delegation at his office.
During the meeting, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi expressed gratitude for the Russian Federation's recognition of IEA. He noted that, in previous years, Russia has provided significant humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people during challenging times, for which Afghanistan is deeply thankful.
His Excellency Turabi further addressed the issue of climate change, stating that Afghanistan has been severely affected by its impacts. The frequency of natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and other environmental crises has increased, causing significant harm to the population. He also requested the Russian Ambassador's cooperation in providing food and non-food assistance to the Afghan people
In response, His Excellency Dmitry Zhirnov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, expressed his pleasure at meeting Alhaj Turab Sahb. He stated that Russia was the first country to recognize IEA, reflecting its goodwill and strong commitment to fostering sustainable cooperation between the two nations. He further affirmed that Russia would strive to provide necessary assistance and collaboration in various fields.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination in disaster management and other sectors.
