The Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority had a Visit to the Melk Border and IOM Refugee Camp in Nemroz Province

Today, in morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, during his official visit to Nemroz Province, visited the refugee camp at the Melk border and the camp operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
During the visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb obtained detailed information about the general conditions of the refugees, the existing challenges and the services provided in these camps. The camp officials warmly welcomed Alhaj Turabi Sahb’s visit and shared with him the urgent needs and challenges faced by the refugees.
The Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority assured that efforts to improve the situation of the refugees will continue and the authority, in coordination with domestic and international organizations, will provide enhanced services to families in need.
The purpose of this visit was to assess the situation of the refugees and to foster greater coordination for the provision of urgent and sustained assistance.
