A Technical Meeting was held between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the World Food Programme to Facilitate Emergency Operations

Today, in afternoon, a technical meeting was convened with representatives from Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and the World Food Programme (WFP) to enhance cooperation and coordination during emergency situations.
The meeting was attended by Qari Nooruddin Rustamkhil, Director of Coordination and Management of Mine Action; Molvi Mohammad Abid Noomani, Director of Personnel Affairs; Hafiz Mohammad Yousuf Hammad, Director of Information and Publications; Burhanuddin Khan, Acting Director of International Relations; Owen Short, Communications Officer; Paul Aylor, Emergency Operations Officer; Hamidullah Afghan, Communications Manager; along with other ANDMA officials and several WFP staff members.
The primary focus of the meeting was on research, coordination, facilitating and expediting emergency activities, mutual commitments, geographical objectives, information exchange and expanding sustainable collaborations.
ANDMA’s representatives presented information on ongoing activities and challenges, emphasizing the need for close cooperation and coordination with international partners.
In response, WFP officials underscored their commitment to effective collaboration in delivering humanitarian services and accelerating the process of providing assistance to families affected by natural disasters.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued joint efforts, improving coordination in program implementation and ensuring effective information exchange.
