An MoU for Joint Cooperation between ANDMA and AYSO Organization Valued at $578,580 was signed

This afternoon, on Sunday, Alhaj Molvi Mohammad Alam Alamyar, Director General of Finance and Administration of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, met with Mr. Engineer Abdul Habib Tahreek, Executive Director of the AYSO organization, in his office and signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Alhaj Alamyar Sahb warmly welcomed the AYSO delegation, expressing gratitude for the organization’s continuous assistance and support to disaster-affected communities. He emphasized that Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority is fully prepared to cooperate in resolving any challenges that may arise during the organization’s activities. He also urged AYSO’s leadership to continue their support for the affected people of Afghanistan.
Subsequently, Mr. Engineer Abdul Habib Tahreek, Executive Director of AYSO, provided details about the organization’s new project, stating that the project’s budget is funded by the UNDP office and will be implemented by AYSO. He commended the Authority’s cooperation and efficiency in signing memoranda of understanding with partner organizations and expressed appreciation to the Authority’s leadership for facilitating the implementation of this project.
It is worth noting that, under this memorandum of understanding, a project valued at a total of $578,580 (five hundred seventy-eight thousand five hundred eighty dollars) will be implemented in the provinces of Nangarhar and Laghman.
Within the framework of this project, in the first phase, 112 disaster-affected businesses—56 in Nangarhar and 56 in Laghman—will each receive equipment worth $1,692.
In the second phase, a technical/vocational training program will be conducted for 160 small-scale workers impacted by natural disasters (80 in Nangarhar and 80 in Laghman). Upon completion of the training, each participant will receive occupational equipment and other facilities valued at $700.
