A Memorandum of Understanding was Signed Between Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority and DAART for $660,158 in Joint Cooperation

On Thursday morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Honorable Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with Mr. Saleem Koohi, the Program Manager of the Danish Assistance for Afghanistan Reconstruction and Technical Training (DAART), at his office and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb warmly welcomed the DAART delegation and discussed the organization’s ongoing project. He described the project as a commendable initiative to support vulnerable and affected communities, adding, “We are committed to facilitating your efforts promptly so that you can implement the project with speed and high quality.”
Similarly, Mr. Saleem Koohi, DAART’s Program Manager, praised the authority’s operations as exceptionally transparent and efficient, assuring that the housing construction and repair project in Faryab Province would be implemented to the highest standards.
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding worth a total of $660,158 was signed between the two entities. According to the MoU, in the Dawlatabad and Bilchiragh districts of Faryab Province, 132 families will each receive $550 in two installments for essential home repairs, while 133 families will each receive $330 in two installments for partial home repairs.
Additionally, 88 families will each receive $2,003 in three installments for the construction of a single-room house, and another 88 families will each receive $2,646 in three installments for the construction of two-room houses.
