The Head of ANDMA oversaw the progress of constructing a recreational park, library and commemorative monument for victims of mines and unexploded ordnance in the 11th District of Kabul City

Today, On Thursday morning, His Excellency Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, accompanied by His Excellency Qari Nooruddin Rustamkhail, the Director of Mine Clearance Coordination, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a recreational park, library and a memorial tower dedicated to the victims of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Gulai Park, District 11, Kabul.
During the visit, Alhaj Turabi Sahb stated that landmines are recognized today as a hidden enemy of humanity, claiming numerous lives in Afghanistan. He emphasized that, as the responsible institution, the authority is making every effort to rid Afghanistan of landmines and unexploded ordnance.
He further noted that, to honor and support the victims of landmines, this recreational park, which includes a memorial tower for those affected by landmines and unexploded ordnance, as well as a library, is being constructed. He added that the authority is continuously overseeing the progress of this project.
It is noteworthy that the park is being built through the coordination of the Mine Clearance Coordination Directorate of the authority, in collaboration with mine clearance organizations. The project has achieved approximately 85% completion and is expected to be inaugurated and operational in the near future.
