Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority Appoints Committees for Refugee Camp in Torkham and Establishes Operations and Administration Center

This morning, Thursday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, who traveled to Torkham to oversee the establishment of a temporary refugee camp, formed working committees for the camp, assigned their responsibilities, and established an Operations and Administration Center in the Torkham area to effectively manage the needs of forcibly returned refugees.
Alhaj Turabi Sahb formed 14 working committees to facilitate the refugees’ needs, issued necessary instructions, and emphasized that serving refugees holds immense importance both from an ethical and religious perspective.
It is worth mentioning that the construction of the camp has officially begun. The camp is planned to accommodate 300 to 500 tents, equipped with all essential facilities, including mobile toilets, bathrooms, drinking water, and mobile health clinics, based on the needs.
