The Acting Head of ANDMA visited the land designated for the construction of the Panjsher Provincial Disaster Management Directorate’s building and inspected high-risk areas in Panjshir Province where preventive projects are planned for implementation

Today on Monday morning, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, who is traveling to several provinces to evaluate administrative affairs and preventive projects, visited several high-risk areas in Panjsher Province where preventive projects are slated for implementation. He also inspected the land allocated for the construction of the administrative building of the Provincial Disaster Management Directorate.
During his visit to these areas, Honorable Turabi Sahb emphasized that implementing preventive projects in regions vulnerable to natural disasters is critically important and vital. He added that the Authority is committed to reducing disaster risks by executing additional projects. He further noted that constructing an administrative building for the Directorate is essential, as a conducive working environment directly enhances service delivery. He assured that efforts will be made to promptly take practical steps to initiate the construction of this building.
It is noteworthy that, under the directive of the Esteemed Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him), four small-scale projects, collectively valued at 1,047,900 (one million forty-seven thousand nine hundred) Afghanis, have been approved for implementation by the Authority. These projects are currently in the procurement and execution phases. The projects include:
- Demolition of a rock in Supar Karaman village, Darah district.
- Demolition of a rock in Zardi Tambana village, Darah district.
- Demolition of a rock in Noh Lej village, central Panjshir.
- Construction of a 30-meter-long retaining wall in the main center of Bazarak.
Furthermore, in the second security zone of Panjsher Province, a 1,200-square-meter plot of land has been designated for the construction of the Provincial Disaster Management Directorate’s building and efforts are ongoing to secure the necessary budget for its construction.
