The AAR Japan International Organisation and ANDMA signed an MoU for Joint Cooperation

This morning, Saturday, the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with the President of AAR Japan International Organization, Mohammad Bashir Basir, at his office and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.
During the meeting, Alhaj Turabi Sahb emphasized that the environment is conducive for all organizations to carry out humanitarian activities in the country. He stated that the Authority is committed to collaborating with institutions operating in the provinces and facilitating the delivery of aid. He further noted that instructions have been issued to the Authority’s provincial offices to cooperate with organizations and address their challenges promptly.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Bashir Basir, President of AAR Japan, expressed gratitude to the Acting Head of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority for their cooperation with organizations. He added that AAR Japan strives to provide assistance to the people of Afghanistan in various sectors and ensure that aid reaches those in need in a timely manner.
Under this MoU, a project valued at $190,405 will be implemented in the Andar, Jaghatu and Deh Yak districts of Ghazni Province to raise awareness about the dangers of landmines and unexploded ordnance. Additionally, food supplies will be distributed to needy families in the Rashidan and Zana Khan districts of Ghazni Province.
It is worth mentioning that, as part of this MoU, an awareness program will be launched in the aforementioned districts, benefiting 8,960 individuals through the distribution of pens, notebooks, brochures, and other educational materials. Furthermore, 28 awareness billboards will be installed in these areas.
Moreover, in the Rashidan and Zana Khan districts of Ghazni Province, 700 deserving families will each receive 50 kg of flour, 10 liters of cooking oil, 24.5 kg of rice, 7 kg of sugar, 1 kg of tea, 1 kg of salt, and 8 kg of lentils.
