Bamyan
The provincial directorates of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority serve as the executive arm of the authority at the provincial level, playing a crucial role in implementing the agency’s programs and policies related to prevention, preparedness, response and recovery from natural and human-induced disasters. These directorates, in accordance with the laws and policies of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, are responsible for coordinating activities related to disaster risk management at the provincial level. Working closely with local authorities, councils, national and international organizations and civil society, the provincial directorates strive to reduce community vulnerabilities and enhance local capacities to address disasters effectively.
Objectives of the Provincial Directorate:
1. Effective implementation of the programs and projects of Afghanistan National Disaster
Management Authority at the provincial level.
2. Enhancing the preparedness of local communities to cope with disasters and reduce risks.
3. Coordinating humanitarian aid and emergency response during disasters.
4. Strengthening collaboration with local authorities, governmental and non-governmental
institutions and civil society.
5. Monitoring and evaluating the implementation process of programs and projects at the
provincial level.
6. Securing local and international support for preventive and reconstruction projects.

Biography
Respected Molvi Mohammad Taher Shaker, son of Ahmadin, is a resident of Kunduz Province. He completed his schooling up to the 7th grade and pursued religious studies for four years at Bahrul Uloom Madrasa, Darul Uloom Madrasa, Ruhul Madrasa, and in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. He currently serves as the Director of Disaster Management for Bamyan Province.
